If you have dry eyes or MGD and you already use a heat compress, are aware of your diet and know how to massage your... lids I would avoid spending over £100 for someone to do the same and attempt to sell you a subscription for this yearly. I agree with the reviews saying that the experience felt like a sales lecture, constantly trying to upsell unnecessary items, and it felt quite unprofessional. The place seems broken, chipped walls, a rogue treatment room where you can see a tub of everyone’s ear wax too. Some questionable claims being made too by professionals here, promising those who have high prescriptions to start seeing clear the following day but they evade this by claiming you need to try ALL treatments before you know which ones work. However if you try to find out WHAT these treatments are, you won’t get an answer as it’s “secret”. When I phoned up the person on the phone genuinely had no idea what services were offered except a dry eye treatment (didn’t know what this consisted of but it isn’t gland expression, IPL, Exfoliation or lipiflow) and various prices were quoted. I personally was not relieved of any symptoms but hesitant to try the “other” treatments because you won’t find out exactly what they entail or involve until you sign up to a yearly plan! I’ll be interested to see if the review gets removed or what happens after posting this but if you have diagnosed dry eye please avoid and see a specialist clinic, and continue doing compresses and massage at home!read more

After getting ill, my mum experienced some issues with her eyes and ears. Speaking to bruno, he offered an eye clean... and it certainly did the trick. Mum mentioned being able to see better and has taken the strain away. Bruno also did an ear treatment to help with the ear pain - mum has not complained about her ears since. Will be going to do an eye clean next year myself!read more

I've been a customer of CCLC for years and I also have an eyecare plan with them. Bruno has been suggesting to me for... a while to have an eye clean and last month just before I left for my 4 week holiday I had an eye clean done. It was perfect! Before the actual eye clean I was settled in a room with relaxing music until Bruno performed his magic! I must say that when it comes to my eyes I'm quite nervous about people touching them however, with Bruno's calm voice and the relaxing music he was able to do everything without me feeling nervous. The eye clean left me with clearer vision and fresh eyes throughout my 4 week holiday and up until now I find that my eyes are not as dry as they usually are when I wear my contact lenses. I most definitely will have this done again and I would definitely recommend it. The eye clean benefits everyone whether you do or don't wear glasses or contact lenses.read more

I normally suffer from reoccurring chalazions, which have troubled me for the past 3/4 months. My eyes are also... incredibly dry, so I decided to try one of Bruno’s eye clean treatments. It was a 45 minute eye clean which included a form of heat therapy, which felt more like a spa than a treatment and I felt completely relaxed. Afterwards, my vision was much sharper, my eyes also looked brighter and whiter. A few days later my chalazion had shrunk. I was also given advice on how to manage my condition to prevent any reoccurrence. I cannot recommend this treatment and Bruno highly enough.read more

Problems with my eyes (getting styes/irritated lids) began almost two years, and really affected my mental health, as I... couldn’t find any solutions; no one knew why these issues were, and how to help them, which was extremely frustrating. From going to the doctors, the NHS eye clinic, a private clinic and even asking health practitioners, I found NOTHING that helped (proving the lack of knowledge and care in this area). But 5 months ago, I started seeing Bruno, who has been the only person to show a real care, and has also managed to help these problems go away. Not only this but, he will always find the time to see you, despite his busy schedule. I saw Bruno for a lid clean as I am suffering from dry patches/ possible eczema under my eyes. He is so knowledgeable... and worked his magic, tailoring the treatment to be pregnancy-safe, and made my eye area feel unclogged, cleansed and hydrated. Suddenly everything appeared brighter (it was as though my eyesight had improved!) and the dry patches under my eyes completely disappeared. It was also a very relaxing and cleansing treatment. Had a great experience recently with an emergency situation with my left eye. It was very sore, light sensitive and... tearing up badly. My regular opticians in Hampstead were full so referred me to this place to be seen urgently and I was initially apprehensive. Don’t let the reviews fool you, they have a colleague named Affan working there and his job is to write fake 5 star... reviews. Steven, the manager, should not be in this industry, let alone be a manager. They overcharge for eye tests and contact lense tests and the worst bit of it all is there is HIDDEN FEES, if you don’t believe me, please call SpecSavers Camden or Boots Opticians Camden first to get a quote (with no hidden fees) Worst customer service I’ve ever received. I’ve been coming here since I was 13 years old, and the new management is a disgrace. All I did was call and ask for was my contact lense prescription and my PD and he replied “no” and hung up the phone. Steven (the manager) and Affan his sidekick, what appalling appalling experience. I don’t recommend it to anyone unless you want to pay hidden fees after all your tests.read more

I have been a customer here for just over 30 years, and Bruno has been working there the whole time. During this time,... he has been developing his own techniques for eyecare, constantly looking to innovate and push things forward. I can't recommend the "lid cleaning" therapy enough. I walked out of the place with considerably sharper vision after this procedure, and didn't even feel the need to wear my lenses. Both my near and distance vision measured 20/20. Its a shame I can't get it done every month and dispense with lenses full stop. Treat yourself to this procedure, you will be surprised at its efficacy!read more

I was at work and suddenly felt my eye irritating me more than usual, turns out I have a condition called "dry eye" as... well as a scratched cornea. I saw Bruno who gave me an eye wash and repair service that instantly got rid of my irritation. I then went back to trial contact lenses and found out that the lenses act as a bandage for my scratched cornea. I learned that the lenses I use actually have potassium in them that help equalise my tears (to counter the dry eye condition). I have been using these contact lenses for 3 weeks now and have been loving every second of it, especially under the guidance and tutelage of Bruno!read more

I have been going here for 17 years. The staff are so knowledgeable and helpful. They are pioneers of eye care. I... suffer from very dry eyes which are very near sighted and I suffer very prominent floaters but here they have always advised me on the best lenses for me. I have had very bad floaters since I was 10 (now 38), a few months ago I had a eye clean with Bruno (don't worry, know it sound terrifying but it is actually wonderfully relaxing and doesn't hurt at all), for a whole month after my floaters were gone, 3 months now and I only get very few light ones. For a few weeks after my eyes were so clear, I could actually see better without my glasses than before the clean, feels like seeing the world with new eyes. CCLC have improved my quality of eye care. I can't recommend them enough. Thanks to Bruno and the team.read more

Came here for an eye test and contact fitting after seeing the glowing reviews but sadly can't relate. All talk about... how unique and great their service is, trying to sell a clinic subscription I clearly stated I was not interested in, refusing to provide the raw data from tests, saying only they decide what a patient needs, making an inappropriate reference to another customer, even threatening 'don't do anything stupid, don't go to any other place'. Needless to say I'll be staying well clear! Completely and shockingly unprofessional to the point of (rather tragic) comedy.read more

I’ve been at this opticians for 28 years & the service has declined in all fairness. Most of the staff are friendly... for the most part, they have a limited section of glasses available & tend to gear you towards the higher priced frames which aren’t covered by any type of warranty whatsoever so every time my glasses break I have to spend another £300 or so for a new pair with an identical prescription. I should have gone to Specsavers & so should you.read more

Bruno has a great understanding of the issues affecting contact lens wearers to find a solution to assist customers. ... My prescription is complex and Bruno gave one to one customer service but, disappointed with the quality of lenses issued. Charged for the consultation, charged for dry eye drops (which I have never needed in 20 plus years of contact lens wearing) and gave me below par trial lenses from an unknown barnd that are thick plastic, rigid, large and poor quality - nowhere near as clear or comfortable as Johnson and Johnson. I don't want to be their guinea pig so am going to try elsewhere.read more

I have order a pair of new glasses with prescription lens. all was fine until collection, the guy goes in the back to... sort out a detail in the glasses so they fit my face and breaks them. I left the shop with the promise that he will order new frame ( same as the one I choose) and will let me know. Few days passed and nothing from them. I called and he tells me sorry I can’t find the same model so you have to order other frame that will fit your lenses. So Now I can only choose a frame that can only fit the specific size of my lenses. The story goes on and I finally requested a refund. Takes ages to have it back. I ask to be sent the prescription of my lens and was told they can only send the prescription without signature when they know they have to sign it according to the law. It was a mess!! The attitude of the employees is disgraceful! I don’t recommend this service: you risk getting out without your glasses or money!!!read more

Absolutely fantastic, utterly professional yet truly warm and friendly. I have visited the audiologists a few times,... and I don't think there is a better place to go in London. The level of service is absolutely amazing. I have been seen both by Anshul, a wonderful, knowledgeable and very kind audiologist, and the visiting specialist Dr Hussain who I just can't possibly praise enough both for his unsurpassed expertise and his empathy, warmth and understanding of the anxiety that can be caused by tinnitus and hearing concerns. Kind and attentive staff considering how busy it can get on Camden High Street. My experience with them was hopeful... despite the fact I’ve had issues wearing contacts my whole life due to severe dry eye and blufferitis. But after taking direction on proper use, contacts are already easier to manage. I look forward to my next appointment to further my education on improving my eye health! Camden Contact Lens Centre has provided me with care, consideration and up to date advice about my eye care for more... than 20 years. The brilliant eye cleaning suggested, has worked wonders for my vision and the overall condition of my eyes. I was reluctant at first. Why tamper with them when I keep them clean, don’t usually have any infections and I add drops if they are really dry, whenever necessary. It took several years to be convinced that it would be of use. But I was pleasantly surprised with the immediate impact. I had clearer vision straight away without my lens or glasses on. They were also fresher for much longer throughout the day.read more

Exceptional service from diagnostics to perfect finishing of lenses and glasses has been consistently delivered by the... Opticians and front of house staff since becoming a patient over a decade ago. Great care received by three generations of my family in a practice that is a true Camden institution dispensing excellent and efficient NHS and private service. We are all pleased from children to pensioners with the familiar and friendly manner we are served. The professional standard and attentive call service always reminds and never fails to ensure up-to-date eye tests. We always find good value products and services particularly bespoke finishes to designer spectacles and if required the practise will repair or adjust frame fitting between prescriptions. My ear has been blocked for a while and ear drops didn't help, so I came to Camden Contact Lens Centre to get my ear... microsuctioned and I'm so pleased I did! Dr Alam was very friendly, and informative (I love to know exactly what's going on). He showed me what my good ear looked like on the computer, and then my bad ear (which was totally blocked!). My blockage proved quite tough, but we persevered and he got it out. I can hear again, and it's amazing! It was really well priced, and I'm so happy. Definitely worth it and I'll come back if I get another blockage (fingers crossed I don't).read more

I was very much over due for a pair of glasses in seeing Camden contact lens centre I decided to go in. I was... welcomed by a very cheerful staff member named Steve. He was polite also helpful He helped me pick up the right frames which I went on to buy. On the final day of collection I was greeted again by Steve still his normal disposition. he taught me how to wear my new glasses jokingly told me off for smudging the glasses. I have been coming here for about 25 years and they always go the extra mile, helping me out with free lenses when I've... miscalculated how many I've got left before the new stock arrives (I have a special lens) my daughter and son are now looked after by them too. They are very skilled at talking to children and making them feel at ease. I get holistic advice on diet and supplements and cleaning of the eyes so it's never just your actual sight they are looking at but the whole person and their health which in turn ensures the health of the eye and maintaining good sight. They have a great range of glasses and sun glasses too. Highly recommended.read more

He was mean to leave the shop, however he stayed with a big smile and gave me a master class about eye care that I will never forget.
